12.1.1 Checks on the vehicle before driving
The driver shall check the following before each trip.
OUTSIDE THE CAR:
- General condition and appearance of the car.
- State of wheels and tires, and also state of tightening of wheel nuts (bolts). It is recommended to check the tire pressure (including the spare wheel tire).
- Check for leakage of fuel and fluids (it is necessary to consider that on the cars that are equipped with system of air conditioning, there can be traces of the liquid that are created by condensate. This is not malfunction).
- Condition of wipers (especially in winter). It is necessary to exclude freezing of wiper blades, because it can lead to damage of a windscreen and the mechanism of wipers.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT:
- Engine oil level. In addition, check its technical condition, inspect all engine connections for engine oil and coolant leaks.
- Transmission oil level. Inspect all engine connections for transmission oil leaks.
- Level of brake fluid in the expansion tank. If necessary, refill the brake fluid to the required level, make sure there are no visible brake fluid leaks. Depending on the design of the hydraulic drive, the expansion tank may be common for the brake system and clutch (carsтwith manual transmission). But there also may be two tanks - one for the brake system and one for the clutch.
- Level of fluid in an expansion tank of the system of engine cooling.
- Level of fluid in the windscreen washer tank.
- Technical condition of the supporting equipment drive belt, as well as its tension (check manually by pressing the belt between the generator pulley and the water pump with your thumb).
Our test questions are 100% compliant with the official ones, for which theoretical exams are taken in the service centers of Ukraine.
All other resources that claim that their test items are official, mislead you. The illustrations are modified and irrelevant text is placed in them. Preparing with the help of such resources, you can get confused on the official exam and simply do not pass it.
