9.4.2 Active head restraints
The most dangerous is the sharp impact on the neck of the passengers sitting in the car when the car is hit from behind. In addition, people received serious neck injuries after a head-on collision in reverse, when the human body leaned back after the impact. In order to eliminate damage to the cervical vertebrae, an active head restraint system was introduced into the seat design. In case of a collision this system, which is constantly in contact with the head, dampens and softens the forces arising in this unpleasant situation.
Note
Road traffic regulations prohibit the operation of the vehicle in case if it does not have the head restraint (s) and/or seat belts provided for by the design.
