Gear ratio (Chapter 5) is the ratio of the number of teeth leading to the number of teeth of the driven gear in the gear, the number of teeth of the worm wheel to the number of worms in the worm gear, the number of teeth of a large sprocket to the number of teeth of small chain drive, and large diameter pulley (or roller) to a smaller diameter in the belt or friction transmission.
